Official figures show that there are around 50% more mobile phones in circulation in Britain than there are people. That means every single man woman and child has one and a half mobile phones each and since there are very few toddlers texting their playgroup friends, that means that many of us have way more mobile phones than we should.
But what are the real benefits of actually getting rid of them? Many of us keep them as mementos or as a result of simply being a little lazy or enjoying hoarding things, but should we sell them on, throw them out or follow the advice of many of those adverts on TV and recycle them?
Even very old phones may well be worth something if you choose to sell your mobile. However whilst you probably won’t get much from your friends for a phone the size of your face, you may well get some money through mobile phone recycling. By doing this you are not only getting some money but also helping the environment too, and with most mobile phone recycling companies using the phones to help improve the lives and communication of people less fortunate than ourselves, you will also be helping someone who needs it in the process.
