When you're running a small business, you're often up for a hard time. No matter what industry you're in, you'll be up against bigger companies who have a lot more financial clout. When you're trying to get somewhere on the net, that clout could very well bash you out of business.

These forms of searches can, and should, be used by small businesses to garner more attention.

Regional search gives small businesses an advantage because big companies simply can't establish their locality well enough to rank. While your small business may need only to concentrate on Sheffield, a bigger company will need to concentrate on all the major cities in the UK, some in Europe, counties, and then some of the more important towns across the country. Your small size gives you manoeuvrability.
